Kelly + Mike – the portraits (Fort Washington Wedding Photographer}

This is where it really gets tricky.  I’m at this amazing outdoor location at The Highlands in Fort Washington for my best friend’s wedding.  Although I’m off duty for the day, Kelly & Mike’s photographer, Felix, has been so gracious to let me jump in here and there to pose them and grab a few moments with my camera.  Still, I’m in a long bridesmaids’ dress and heels on grass which makes it a bit challenging……but totally worth it! I kicked off those heels and jumped in!

This reminds me...I've been meaning to do a blog post on the "almost kiss". I've been noticing that the moment right before and right after a kiss is really amazing...maybe even better than the kiss itself...at least to me!

One thing I learned from the engagement session, when Mike starts talking in that Daffy Duck voice, just keep shooting. Kelly will be cracking up the entire time!

At this point I pretty much put down the camera for the night and decided to have a blast with my friends.  So happy for you guys.  It was a fabulous day!  Love you both!

Baby Gage – {Bristol baby photographer}

Hopefully most of you remember Farryn and Dan.  They are the cutest couple ever and I had a blast doing their maternity shoot. I’ll warn you now, there’s a lot of pics posted below….I have no filter, as my friends know already!

Well, Baby Gage is here!  YAY!!!!  (I think I may have literally cheered when Farryn called to set up her appointment.  I’m a huge dork that way!)

Anywhooo, I headed over to Farryn and Dan’s home in Bristol last Sunday.  One of the reasons I do my newborn session in the client’s home is because it’s so much easier for new mom and dads.  There’s lots of spit ups and changings and rocking on a newborn shoot.  By coming to them it takes away the worry and makes it a more comfortable and fun session.

I knew Baby Gage was going to be a cutie, I had no idea how cute….

Kelly & Mike Part II {Fort Washington Wedding Photographer}

If you’ve never been to The Highlands in Fort Washington, I have to tell you that the gardens are amazing.  There are cool architectural elements throughout the gardens and ivy climbing up walls.  It was right up my alley.  Of course, it wasn’t my wedding to photograph.  I was the matron of honor this day and I was so glad to be standing up there with Kelly & Mike.  I wouldn’t have it any other way….unless cloning was an option….yes, just that one cloning exception would have been amazing!

My wonderful husband Dan took the photos at the ceremony.  I was very impressed with what he did.  He even knew to walk all around and not shoot everything from the same angle. It was about 5pm so the sun was pretty strong.  It was such a beautiful day despite the need for sunblock!

At this point I realize that I probably should have mentioned to Dan that Kelly’s gift to Mike was going to be a plane flying overhead during the ceremony.   I was sworn to secrecy…and I forgot he would be taking photos of the ceremony.  oops!  It all worked out fine in the end….he got an amazing shot of it!

Great job CB! (aka cute boy…it’s a thing!) Please note…I DID NOT take this blurry picture.  I don’t know who did…..but I have my suspicions. Though, I am diggin’ the camera tilt!
