Josh and Allie’s B’nai Mitzvah Part I {B’nai Mitzvah Photographer}

I’m finally getting caught up on my blogging of some of the events and portrait sessions I’ve done so far this year.  In February, I was really excited to do this B’nai Mitzvah for Josh and Allie!  Josh & Allie are not twins (they are one year apart) but decided to celebrate their mitzvahs together.  I met up with the whole family for the synagogue portraits at Keneseth Israel Synagogue in Elkins Park.  We really lucked out because it was such a nice day in February that we were able to do the portraits OUTSIDE!

Even though there’s not a lot of greenery in February, KI had this really cool brick wall so I was able to “play” with that.  I always love the opportunity to do natural light portraits outside.

So glad I captured this typical brother-sister moment! Can’t you just feel the love?

Then, we came inside to pre-enact some shots of the service itself.  For so long, I kept forgetting the name of this and calling it “the pointer”.  Now I know it’s a yad!

The synagogue had this beautiful stained glass window, so of course I had to take a few pictures of Josh and Allie with it. I couldn’t resist!!!!

What a gorgeous family!

Lisa & Jason’s Maternity Session {Bristol maternity photography}

When I spoke to Lisa about locations for her maternity session, she mentioned that she liked the park I found in Bristol, PA for Farryn’s maternity session and wanted to meet there. It was nice to go back to the same spot with another couple for a completely different maternity session!

I’ll start off with my favorite pic from this session.  I’m pretty obsessed with my IPhone 4S so I couldn’t help but incorporate it into the shoot! (Don’t blame me, Siri told me to do it!)

It may sound cliche, but Lisa was truly glowing.  I wish I looked this gorgeous when I was pregnant!!!

Lisa and Jason are such a romantic couple.  I told them to pretend I wasn’t there.  They were really good at it!

Lisa came prepared! She brought a bag full of baby clothes and decorations from her baby shower, and we were able to incorporate some of them into the session. It’s really nice when a couple can add personal touches like that to their photo shoot!

Cars were driving by and honking at Lisa and Jason holding the sign.  Their baby girl is already getting the shout outs!!!

Lisa and Jason were such a fun couple to work with and I can’t wait to meet their baby girl at her newborn session.
