I’m finally getting caught up on my blogging of some of the events and portrait sessions I’ve done so far this year. In February, I was really excited to do this B’nai Mitzvah for Josh and Allie! Josh & Allie are not twins (they are one year apart) but decided to celebrate their mitzvahs together. I met up with the whole family for the synagogue portraits at Keneseth Israel Synagogue in Elkins Park. We really lucked out because it was such a nice day in February that we were able to do the portraits OUTSIDE!
Even though there’s not a lot of greenery in February, KI had this really cool brick wall so I was able to “play” with that. I always love the opportunity to do natural light portraits outside.

So glad I captured this typical brother-sister moment! Can’t you just feel the love?

Then, we came inside to pre-enact some shots of the service itself. For so long, I kept forgetting the name of this and calling it “the pointer”. Now I know it’s a yad!

The synagogue had this beautiful stained glass window, so of course I had to take a few pictures of Josh and Allie with it. I couldn’t resist!!!!

What a gorgeous family!
