OK, so maybe I took the equivalent of 10 engagement shoots in this one session. But, Kelly was my bridesmaid…..she glue-gunned favors and drank chardonnay with me for my wedding, she tried on horrid bridesmaid’s dresses, and she handled my Type-A planning mode in classic Kelly style. It is my turn to repay…..and I do so gladly as her personal photographer and soon-to-be matron of honor.  .jpg "_DSC7574") Some people see metal stairs and spontaneously burst into West Side Story...what can I say?

Kelly is my closest, dearest friend in the world and about a month ago, she and Mike became engaged. I’m so happy for the two of them. It was my honor and pleasure to do this engagement photo shoot for them. (I’m seriously tearing up now so I have to pull it together to finish this post.) Not only do I get to do the engagement shoot of someone near and dear to my heart, but it was amazingly fun too! You’ll see why in the pics below. Kelly, Mike and I drove up to our (yet to be revealed) photo shoot location. Just driving up to the building, I knew we were going to have a good time. Here’s a building we passed on the way in (and then immediately turned right around) .

I ordered up that wind! Gorgeous! They look like they're waiting for something, no? Oh, didn't I mention that Mike owns a plane? Our photo shoot was at Wings Field in Blue Bell where Mike’s plane is kept. The officials there were so nice and gave the ok for us to do this shoot. Mike was great at watching out closely for our safety while we were on the tarmac which was GREATLY appreciated! A helicopter landed right near us too! While Mike was watching out for us, I was photographing him!
Now this is getting interesting! Check back tomorrow for Part II! Oh. My. God. Now I’m all teared up, just checking these out. I *love* them! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! My favorite so far is the one holding hands at the plane’s nose. Great photos Linda. Looks like a super happy couple!!! Wow! I’ve always known my kids were attractive, both individually and together. Now, as if there could have been anyone in doubt, here is exceptional photographic proof of just how beautiful they are. The images are sublime, and Kelly and Mike make a magnificent couple. Just had to say another big thanks again! We sent out our save-the-dates and everyone’s commenting on how excellent the pic is. You really got us. Jamie and Michael were just so happy and beaming throughout the day that it makes it really hard to choose which photos to post. Jamie and the girls got ready at The Barn which is in Smithville as well, then we walked through the village over to the Smithville Inn. First, we ran into the railroad for the train that runs around the village…..
Then there were all these cute shops as we walked through the town…
And on to the Smithville Inn for the ceremony. What a lovely place! The ceremony took place in the courtyard that was right next to the pond. Speaking of lovely….
