Michael and Donna’s Wedding – Part II

So…. here’s where the day really gets good.  As I mentioned in my previous post, I was the second photographer on this wedding for Denise Mabilog.  When shooting portraits, sunny days are good, but not really ideal.  Cloudy days are wonderful because the clouds filter the light and eliminate shadows.   As we were waiting for Michael and Donna to make their exit out of the church, Denise made a wish and it came true.  Suddenly the sky became cloudy and created the perfect portrait lighting.  We also lucked out because the area on the side of the church was just beautiful for portraits.

Take one guess who Michael is looking at?

This wall of bamboo at the Rams Head Inn was so cool!

It would be close to impossible to top Denise's shot of the rings in the crudite of the appetizer bar......but I think this is pretty cool. It was the top of the wishing well outside.

A stolen moment of Michael and Donna. Michael must have done this spontaneously about 10 times during the day. I had the feeling this is something he does EVERY day. Michael and Donna are such a truly romantic and sweet couple. Congratulations to you both!!!!

Michael and Donna’s Wedding – Part I

This past weekend I was the second photographer on Michael and Donna’s wedding for my friend, Denise Mabilog.  We were a little worried about the weather forecast, but it turned out to be perfect wedding weather not to mention a perfect day all-around.

What I love about weddings is that you can just feel the excitement and joy swirling around in the air.  Sorry if that’s hokey but it’s really true.  With Michael and Donna, it was easy to get caught up in their day.

Here are a few shots from the first half of the day.

This locket was handmade in honor of Donna's parents who passed away. She carried it with her in her bouquet. The inscription reads "When love abounds, Angels hover overhead." Really beautiful.

Karla Trotman - Beautiful Pictures…

Kelly - What a beautiful idea with the locket.

Eileen’s Maternity Shoot

Eileen and I had a great time on her shoot a couple of weeks ago.  I’m still in awe that Eileen is 8 months pregnant.  She has such a cute baby bump!  I can’t wait to meet her little one.

I started at her house and we did some pics in the nursery.

Eileen painted the mural herself!

Her and her husband are waiting to be surprised whether it's a boy or girl!

Then we headed out to Burholme Park nearby.  It was such a beautiful day.  There’s a library/museum on the grounds with this amazing porch!

I love all the photos, but this one is my favorite!
